Welcome to our Location Guide! I’m so excited to help you plan your upcoming family photoshoot and make it an amazing experience! Choosing the perfect location is a big part of capturing your family’s unique vibe, and I’m here to make that decision as easy and fun as possible. In this guide, you’ll find the best seasonal spots for your shoot, so you’ll have the most beautiful backdrop to tell your family’s story.

Just a heads-up: how a location looks can change with the weather, like different temperatures or rainfall. I usually swing by a few days before our session to check everything out and make sure it’s looking its best!

Private Orchard, Pickering Brook

$50 Location Fee

The private property is perfect for a country/ farm look in the pictures. The farm is gorgeous year round but blossoms are available only in September.

Jane Brook

An empty block on the side of the road. It was flowers and lots of greenery for beautiful family portraits. Best time for flowers is September & October

Private Winery, Herne Hill

$50 Location Fee

This location has a cozy, rustic feel with lots of variety, including mango trees, vines, and a dirt pathway.

Lilac Hill, Guildford

Popular with photographers, it features tall grass and plenty of room for kids to run around. The carpark and toilets are close by. The hay bales in late spring also add interest to this beautiful location.

Perry's Paddock,

Yellagonga Regional Park

Beautiful location. The grass in much greener in winter

Forrestfield

This is an empty block with beautiful trees. There is a also a reserve close by with lots of greenery and open space that would be a great option for family portraits.

Midland

This location offers tall grass and huge rows of towering trees, creating a beautiful natural backdrop. In spring, you’ll find lovely red flowers here, though they start to fade by November. Even so, it remains an excellent choice for summer photoshoots, with its open spaces and lush greenery providing a stunning setting year-round.

Gnangara Pines, Ellenbrook

Gnangara Pines is a peaceful and lovely spot for family photos. The tall pine trees and sunny clearings make for beautiful pictures.

Yellow Flowers, Guildford

This spot is a small block of land next to the main road in Guildford. Yellow flowers pop up there every three years or so in the summer. But even without the flowers, it's a nice spot for family photos because it has great light and lots of greenery. Flowers usually bloom in November/ December.
