Autumn has come to an end, but I was able to sneak in one last styled children sessions in Perth recently.

As a children photographer, I love creating unique and memorable portraits, and a recent session with a 7-year-old girl was just that. This little girl was an absolute delight to work with, and her beautiful freckles and bubbly personality were the perfect inspiration for our shoot.

Planning the photoshoot

When planning this session, I knew I wanted to capture the girl's natural beauty, so we had to shoot at sunset. The warm, golden light at that time of day would enhance her features and create a beautiful glow around her.

Finding the perfect location was crucial, and I was on the lookout for somewhere with a natural and rustic vibe. After some scouting around, I found this gorgeous farm in the Swan Valley with mango trees and beautiful grape wines. Being a private property, I made sure to contact the owner of the farm to get permission to shoot on the property. Since then, I have photographed in this location a number of times and the results are always stunning. It was the perfect setting to capture the girl's playful and adventurous spirit.

Styling the session

Next up was styling the girl, and her mum wanted to bring an old-world feel to the photoshoot. I had some handmade, beautiful European-style dresses made and sent over from Poland in my client closet and they were perfect on her and complimented the rustic setting. We went for two dresses in soft purple and light blue, each one showcasing the girl's unique personality and style. We used some flowers and vintage lace in the girl's hair to complement the dresses. The result was absolutely incredible!

Day of the portrait session

On the day of the photoshoot, the girl arrived with her pet bunny, who was just as photogenic as she was. The bunny was happy to pose for the camera, and we were able to capture some adorable shots of the girl snuggling up with her furry friend.

This girl is so absolutely stunning. Mum wanted to to capture her beautiful freckles and her gorgeous personality in a classic, timeless and unique way. These pictures did not disappoint.

As we began the shoot, I encouraged the girl to be herself and let her playful nature shine through. She danced, twirled, and ran around, and I was able to capture some beautiful candid moments. Her freckles were such a beautiful feature, and we made sure to highlight them in some of the shots.

As the sun began to set, we captured some stunning shots in the golden hour light. The girl was a natural in front of the camera, and her bubbly personality and infectious laughter made the shoot an absolute joy.

Overall, this photoshoot was a true celebration of the girl's natural beauty and unique personality. From her beautiful freckles to her playful spirit, we were able to capture some truly memorable moments. With a little bit of planning, some beautiful styling, and a whole lot of fun, we were able to create some stunning images that the family will treasure for years to come.
